Curtis Lamar Bryant, 69 of North East, MD passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 in the early morning hours at Elkton Nursing & Rehab Center.
Born to the late Mary A. (Bryant) Smith and Samuel Smith on March 24, 1954. He lived in Marianne, FL until the age of 18.
Curtis graduated from Greenwood High School in 1972. He was an avid basketball player during this time.
He attended East Carolina University in North Carolina; continuing his education at Cecil College where he earned AA degree in Business Administration. He played basketball for Cecil College and later became an Assistance Coach for the basketball team.
At an early age, he joined Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Marianne, FL where he was saved.
He loved to attend Philadelphia 76’s games, weight lifting, hiking with his boys, dancing, horse races and smooth jazz music.
Curtis worked 25+ years as a bridge carpenter and retired due to medical reasons. He also worked for various companies framing houses.
He leaves to cherish: Two sons Jawan and Anthony Bryant both of North East, MD. Great Aunt: Betty Dickens and Aunt Kate Long both of Marianne, FL. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Also his lifelong friend Robert Brown of North East, MD.
Funeral services will be held March 23, 2024 at 2:00pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 1:00pm.
